Design Process

DescriptionThe design process is a step-by-step approach used by designers to ensure that they produce the most effective design. It involves thinking, discussion, research, analysis, problem solving and developing ideas. This is the foundation work required for an effective design solution. An overview of the purpose process is shown on the right and each step is detailed throughout the rest of this chapter.It is important to note that the design process is not strictly linear. For example, you may find that you need to complete research at several stages or you may need to revise your planning later in the process
